An Overview of Our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)
Because we give importance to care that goes beyond the standard, we have designed our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs to assist individuals living with mental illness and help them achieve a higher level of community and independent living skills.
From the time a participant is accepted into the program, skills are assessed, and needs are determined. Skills and resources needed will be matched with a skilled staff that will help the participant achieve their goals. These goals are achieved through individualized meetings, educational groups, and organized social activities.
What Our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Includes
Valvel Health Services’ Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) is geared towards adults with serious and persistent mental illness. Our services are provided both off- and on-site by a team of trained psychiatric rehabilitation professionals.
We provide transportation to and from our facility within the immediate local area.

Aside from those services, we also assist our clients in the following:
- Rehabilitation readiness/assessment
- Financial Management
- Utilization of community resources: library services and use of fixed routes transportation networks.
- Assistance with scheduling and maintaining medical appointments.
- Group activities, such as workshops, social skills improvement tasks, and community involvement
- Coordination with vocational rehabilitation services
- Nutritional skills and education
- Personal care
- Liaison and assistance with other services and care providers, including hospitals and physicians
